We acknowledge that the City of Cambridge is situated on the traditional territories of the Chonnonton (Neutral), Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee Peoples, and that this land is governed by the principles of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Covenant, which calls on all who share this territory to care for the land, one another, and future generations. As a municipality, decision we make about parks, waterways, infrastructure, housing, public spaces, and community services takes place on Indigenous lands and carries a responsibility to govern with respect, stewardship, and accountability. We are committed to building meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, listening to Indigenous voices, and advancing reconciliation through our actions so that Cambridge becomes a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable community for everyone.
